Byan is walking!

As promised, here is the video on how Byan starts to walk...though a little clumsy but I think she can really walk now. A step a day keeps the fear away.....enjoy..........

The Long Awaited Weekend, etc etc......

Again, Papa is back.. and this round it is for 6 days.. and I grab the opportunity to take 2 days off from work to spend more time with the kids at home. It was a long weekend for me and the kids, and we really enjoyed Papa's company. Papa is always the most patience one, tolerating to the two angels' needs. House cores becomes easier for me too, without having to run up and down worrying about Byan falling down and Bhui screaming in the cradle. Imagine the multitasking that I have to do... The day starts as early as 7am for me during weekends with Bhui demanding to sleep in the cradle-she gets used to the time as I normally put her in there before I prepare myself to work everyday. Then I go sweeping and moping the floor, besides packing up Byan's toys which is lying all over the floor from last night. With two babies in the house, I am very particular about cleanliness, I can't tolerate seeing strands of hair on the floor and dust visibly seen on table and cabinets. Naturally, I am a clean freak-believed to have been inherited from my lovely mother and I think I make a very good house maid. I am especially hardworking in washing and cleaning and I feel happy when my house is clean. Having said so, of course I can never tolerate living with in mates who are lazy-not to say dirty but less particular about cleanliness in the house. * Didn't mean to go in detail on this, knowing that I am living with so many "in laws"-that's just how my life is right now.....

Papa's lovely Byan: she is always Papa's best friend when we are out, always sticking to Papa alone. Notice her mushroom-like hair cut? I just love it, it makes her look very cute..Thanks to MIL who helps to trim her hair every now and then to maintain the shape...haha.....

FYI, Byan is almost walking!!!! I know it is a little too late, she is almost 16 months now!!! She is standing and trying to walk more steps on her own now. She can walk a longer distance, can even turn and walk up and down the mattress. Will post the video soon...

Bhui is back!!! She is almost 4 months now.. gradually increasing in size, feeding on almost 6oz of milk now. Incase I have not mentioned, she is on Novalac AC, milk powder specially formulated for cholic babies. I gave Byan this after trying Enfalac, Dumex Mamil Gold until I have to give her Isomil soy milk before I found this Novalac AC for her. Only sold in pharmacies, not available in hypermarkets, priced at RM 51.20 now for 800gm.

Mummy's birthday - 17 Mar

YES! It is the St Patrick's Day and also mummy's birthday. Honestly, as a mom now, I do not prioritize my birthday like I did when I was still "young". Back then, I will expect gifts and wishes, sms-es ,etc from my friends and especially my back then "boyfriend". Now, I do not even want to remember the day coz when the day comes, it means I am older by one year and my commitments get bigger. As I grow older, my babies grow too and I am always worried if I am behind time and providing less to them now.

This year's birthday is definetely not a day to remember. In my almost 4 years of working life, I have never done such big mistake nor were I careless. I totally regret that things have to happen out of my very happy mood that day to spoil my good day. *Anyway, it is over, I will never want to share it here...guess people learn from mistake, and from there, people grow!

OK..ok...it is not that bad after all..... I still receive surprises for my supposingly birthday but it happened two weeks after that when hubby is back! It is always the happiest when he is back even without suprises, so what more with this very suprised surprise! He got me a CK IN2U perfume and a handbag of my choice! Now, I feel and smell good going to work with my new frangrance and new handbag (suddenly fancied white bag)!! Check this out......

The Story about Human

There are 3 types of human in the world: ''Everyone', 'Some One', and 'No One'.

There is an important task now for Everyone to do.
Everyone thinks that Some One will be doing it,
And Some One think that Everyone will do it,
But in the end, No One did it.
Finally, Some One blame Everyone, why No One is doing it.
But Everyone thinks Some One should be doing it.

But No One knows, this is the responsibility of Everyone.

When Papa Is Back!

Besides my two kids, I am especially happy when Papa is back! It is the time when I can really feel being together as a family and to spend the long awaited weekend together. Papa will bring us window shopping, basically to enjoy the air cond rather than staying at home during this hot weather. Byan and bhui will be at their BEST when Papa is around. They are somehow less cranky as they know that Papa will be back only for that few days and that they should appreciate.... I was of course not so keen on bringing these two out as I am so worried that they will end up crying and demanding the whole trip out and I will end up feeling so....restless. But given the support and help from Papa, things are so much easier and to my surprise like I said, they performed at their BEST! Talk so much...but aiseh man....Papa forgot to bring the camera out!!!!

Haha...anyway a few snapshots when Papa is around at home over the weekend.....

Byan with her "masak-masak"

Papa's favourite pose..haha.... Byan's bathing time

And of course, not to forget my Bhui who is at 3 months now, she also know how to pose...

My V-Day Pressie

And "I LOVE YOU TOO".... Hubby can be so sweet. It came all the way from Bangkok, right to my office desk in front of my big eyes. It was a normal busy morning for us at the bank and receiving parcels and documents are what we normally do. I am always the friendly one to greet the office boy who does the delivering and whenever I see him carrying a parcel towards us, I will ask "Hadiah untuk saya, ke?" And that day, he spontaneously said, "Ye.." Of course I did not believe him as I did not expect to receive anything from anyone, what more from my hubby !!!!!##@@@

This little pressie came in a box, nicely decorated with a nice pink ribbon and on the delivery note, it is written "Ear ring - a pair". Aaaaa.... ear ring! Hmm...what type of ear ring huh? Coz it is so not him to buy me ear rings you know? Firstly, I DO NOT wear ear rings and secondly, I DO NOT fancy all these girly stuff... *hehe But after admiring it for some time, I thought it is not bad la.... a nice gold ear ring to suit my "round" face now. Immediately my colleague suggested that I put it on!

And this is the part I like most, along with it, there is heart shape card and in it, it is written "Nothing's gonna change my love for you"

I LOVE U, MY DEAR

Working in overseas is really not an easy task. Too many things to consider:-
* Language Barrier
* Various Culture, Practise, and Behaviour
* Different Expectations...etc

Almost all the time I have to eat alone, work alone, think alone...etc
But thanks to my wife who is always giving me full support, who takes care of my babies, who helps to take care my parents...etc

I LOVE U, MY DEAR!

Life With TWO Babies

Time flies. In just a blink of an eye, I have completed my second two months confinement and I am now back to work! For those who have not seen me for so long will say, "Huh, so fast meh...?" and I will say, " What so fast ah... who knows what tough time I went through?" Then again, I do agree that it is "fast", I got promoted from single->married->daughter-in-law->mother-of-ONE->mother-of-TWO in less than 3 years !!!

Being a mother of two is indeed not easy. Time is the main factor and in which I am always chasing after. 24 hours a day is indeed too short for me coz it ends me without me realizing. With so many promotions, my obligations get bigger and there are just too many things I need to handle.

And these are my obligations as a mother of two:

  • to wake up at 5 plus in the morning (currently) to feed my little baby before I prepare myself to work
  • to travel to office with my colleagues' car (thank god I have her to send me to office every morning)
  • to complete my daily task in office and leave office as early as possible. So, do not talk about performance in work, I have somehow prioritized my family first. Time flies in office too, without me knowing, it is the end of the day and I had to start rushing back. Going back will be with the LRT plus KTM and I will always be the one running to catch the train. So, forgive me if I do not greet you if you happened to bang into me along the street.
  • I have my in laws to look after my two little ones while I am at work. And I know taking care of them is like taking care of twins although they are one year apart. So, I understand very well that they will be tired easily and I have to be home early to take over the baby sitting job.
  • Besides, to complete the house cores like sweeping and moping the floor, wash, hang and fold the clothes, cleaning my own room, preparing two meals of porridge for my Byan (that is the only food I can prepare, don't talk about cooking for the family), ironing my clothes and manage my time well so I can have little time to blog (like what I am doing now) and chatting with hubby online.
  • The day ends early for me. I try at my level best to go to bed with the baby before 10pm every night to make sure I have ample rest for another new day. And I will talk to my little baby to be "good" so to let me have enough rest before I fall asleep every night. You won't believe this, it works!!! Don't wish to praise her here, as I am superstitious to believe that it might turn otherwise. *touchwood!

Having said all these, I think I am a grown up. I am now able to multitask and to be more independent as compared to before. I used to be a very emotional person but I guess I now have to be tough to face the challenge I have in bringing up my two babies. My life has to be changed to accommodate them and these are the sacrifices which I have made:

  • sacrifice my afternoon nap which I used to have, especially during weekends.
  • forget about window shopping as I used to be a shopaholic (my husband knows this very well)
  • have my long straightened hair cut short to make me feel and look better taking care of two babies
  • forget about meeting my friends, yam cha etc... actually I have stopped that long ago...
  • to spend wisely and to prioritise buying babies needs. But I am not known to be a big spender, so not much of a sacrifice, but rather a new commitment from me *ceh...self praise
  • to have a healthy diet to sustain a healthy body. I have now say NO to spicy food which I love a lot i.e. sambal belacan, tom yam, laksa...
All and all, I believe I will blessed with better life in return (self consoling). Yeah, it is tough now but still not that tough after all. I feel happy seeing my babies grow and to have this self achievement in taking care of babies. I have no regrets not sending any one of them to the baby sitter although it means sleepless nights and tiring days for me. Like I said, "time flies....." and in no time, they will be big and be an independent person like ME!

So, to all the new mothers out there, enjoy your parenting life. Take each day at a time and treassure the time you have with your babies while they are still small coz for all you know, they have grown up and you will miss these moments then. "If I can, why not you.... coz to me IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING"

Hhhhmmmm.....I hope after reading this, my husband won't come telling me, " How about another baby then?" HAHA!

Cheers,
The successful mother of TWO

Many Happy Faces of Byan

Here are many captured moments of how happy Byan is celebrating CNY. Somehow, I must agree kids are the happiest, with no worries.. just eat, sleep, play and eat, sleep and play. I am sure you will feel happy when you see my Byan in the photos below. She's a very tricky person, with lots of new patern, which you will never expect from her....

CNY 2009 2nd Day - Trip to Taiping

This year I finally get to go back to Taiping during CNY, thanks to my MIL who helped to take care of my little Bhui. We left KL at about noon and reached Taiping at half past three. As expected, Byan is very sticky to me especially since grand-mama didn't follow and everyone else in Taiping are not so familiar to her. She won't want anyone else to carry her except for myself and hubby, that also most of the time is only me myself.

So, we tried to make her feel being home by bringing all her toys back and let her have her favourite ride-on-shoulder, which Grandpa normally does. This is how happy and excited she can be:

I am also very happy to have my good old friends over, reason being it is not so convenient for me to go out with baby. My best friends: En Jee and sister, Evelyn, Li Chen, Yoke Yin, Su Ann, Wei Wan and Neeta came to visit me and my Byan. However, I only remembered to take photos of a few of them...

Right: En Nee, En Jee and Evelyn with Byan

My parents have prepared steamboat for the night and this year it was a little special, we had it "outside the house". My dad came with the idea of having it in the porch since we have so many people this year: my sis and husband, myself, hubby and Byan, my parents and Jason and my cousin brother and family from KL. We enjoyed ourselves very much since we have not met for almost two years now.

My goodness, look at how hungry Jason can be..must be very tasty that everyone can't wait to eat

This is what my parents have prepared....look better than the ones we had in restaurants huh?

CNY 2009 - 1st Day

This year's CNY celebration is still the same, except that we have another baby in the house. A recap of what we did last year when we had our first baby-Byan in the house:

On the 1st day morning, we took Byan to the temple in Kepong for CNY morning prayers. I must say I like this Picasa software a lot, the way the albums are organised in the Library makes it so convenient for me to search back all the photos we took. This is how I looked after I gave birth to Byan and Byan was at 42 days. After prayers, we went to the old folks home for donation before we head back for mah jong session with MIL's relatives.

This year, we didn't manage to go to this same temple again as we have TWO babies to meddle with. We woke up a little late in the morning and by the time we finish dressing up, morning prayers ended. So, instead we went to the temple in Rawang for prayers and donation. It was such a sunny afternoon and both Byan and Bhui were sweating all over throughout the whole trip there. Thank god my Byan had her bare back Cheong Sam on, at least it is not too hot for her. And I must thank hubby's nephew for these photos taken, he took lessons on photo taking it seems.....

Byan's First Fire Crackers Night

CNY will not be complete without fire crackers. So, hubby bought some "safe" fire crackers from the night market to show Byan, thinking that she will be excited and happy. Ironically, my Byan turns out to be such a "scary cat" and nearly cry out loud when the crackers explodes. Watch her expression here:

The crackers starts to burn.....

Close up shot: Look at her big eyes focusing on the fire with NO SMILE

Feeling so scared although Papa hugging her tight
